I was commissioned to paint 8 proteas. Colours and type were specific for 3 of them the other 5 I had carter blanche with. The client had a strong connection with proteas through her mother and she wanted to honour her mother’s memory for herself and her 3 daughters through this commission.

Once the project was complete I had a little remaining colour in my stay longer palette so painted 6 mini pocket canvasses of 7 cm X 7 cm each.
