Birthday sunrise

The 11th of June 2021 besides being my 55th birthday was an early rise to get our piano teacher daughter to the school bus. before heading home we stopped at the beach for a sunrise walk. It was one of those winter days with a weak sun trying to break through the clouds and rain.

Phil took one of those photos that just begged to be painted. A haunting, evocative, and powerful photograph that encapsulated a moment of threatening weather…

It was one of those weird weather moments when a short lived rain storm cloud formed right on the coast. The mistiness was caused by the strong convection currents in the storm cloud drawing up the early morning sea mist.
