A dear friends daughter comes to my art studio for painting lessons. We paint together twice a week in the afternoons after school. To be honest, I am not sure who gets the most out of those lessons, but let us suffice to say, we both have a lot of fun together.
This last Saturday mom and daughter, who are both very talented artists came along for a mother/daughter painting session. Mom is a very busy Dr who in times of COVID has had to deal with the loss of family and colleagues, and not had much time for herself while looking after her very ill patients, or the opportunity to just to be with her family. They are both very artistic, and love art, so came along to my art studio for a painting afternoon and some bonding time. The idea was for the two of them to spend some quality time together doing something they both love doing. I suggested painting a flower garden on a large canvas with plenty of paint colours to choose from, and this was the stunning result!

I set up the table for their painting session in the garden in the shade under the trees. It was one of those beautiful Autumn summery, light filled days in Zululand. Perfect for painting with just enough of a breeze to keep us cool.
