I think it is blatantly obvious I love painting flowers. In this bucket I placed the softest of pink blush roses, and in contrast to the soft tones of the roses I painted purple petunias, and periwinkles all the while exploring techniques for using the palette knife.

Different shaped palette knives are ideal for the petals of flowers and their leaves. My paintings are constant explorations on building a flower with the use of only a palette knife. Different flowers require different applications of the knife and different shaped knives. I love seeing how the flower grows and develops under a variety of palette knife shapes.
