Not only are flowers beautiful additions to our homes, weddings and special events, they also have different meanings attached to them. Flower language – or floriography – is the art of flower symbolism, which varies depending on the type and colour of the flower.

I love flowers, I love them in the garden, and especially in my home. Flower sellers on the streets selling buckets of flowers can keep me spellbound for hours, and the smell is just heavenly. Each flower has its own distinct fragrance, some subtle and some pungent. When we lived in Nairobi I always used to go to the flower farms there and pick fresh roses by the dozen for our home. Beautiful memories triggered by the fragrance of flowers.

I never get tired of painting flowers in any shape or form.
