I’m not a huge fan of summer, especially here in Zululand where the summers are hot, humid and sticky! Im a Winter person, but I love flowers of all seasons and how each flower and smell is unique to that season. Carpets of daffodils and the accompanying fragrance always herald in that transition from winter to spring. It was a particularly warm balmy Zululand winters day, the sun was shining, there was still a slight coolness mixed into the warmth of the day and it reminded me of daffodils.

A perfect reason to paint a vase of daffodils.
