Mapping out the shape of the face and the areas of light and dark, and of course those checks that just keep on coming back to haunt me…..

I always start my drawings from left to right.  As a right handed person if I started from right to left I would smudge my work.  As an extra precaution to prevent smudging and to keep the paper clean I work with an A4 sheet of paper under my pencil hand.
