Prolific portraiting alert….

The last while I have been doing more portraits in pencil than I have been painting and there are more portraits to come.  I’m not complaining, as I am thoroughly enjoying the process. I have posted these with the photographs supplied to me by the subjects Mum’s (with permission of course).

Cucks, When you were drawing the boy you said you learned things about the people you were drawing. What did you learn about this kid? Take care Andre

Tiny I think much like ‘reading’ a person we are having a conversation with, an artist can start ‘reading’ a sense of the persons character when they are drawing him or her. Especially if you sit for days drawing the portrait. Some of the children I have drawn I have met before, others not at all. I just feel like I know them better and have a sense of who they are once I have drawn them, especially with those I have met before.
