A juicy succulent cherry

My juicy cherry was created using the following paints:

•    titanium white.
•    Burnt umber
•    Raw umber
•    Cadmium red light
•    Cadmium red medium
•    Cadmium yellow light
•    Permanent Alizarin crimson
•    Green gold
•    Phthalo blue (red shade)
A coloured ground of raw umber mixed with titanium white was painted onto a white 18 X 24 cm canvas panel before drawing on the cherry.  The cooler ground base had a green undertone which complimented the red of the cherry.  The main point of observation for me was really looking at the reflective light and the use of contrasting colours to create a juicy round cherry shape the jumps out at you from the canvas and makes you want to pluck it from the panel and eat it.
